gave my 3 dirty girls a bath

I broke some fingers on my left hand this weekend so riding was out. Actually dislocated so they popped back in place and now I'm just left with a painful swollen hand. With the weather perfect at 80 degrees and sunny, I had to do something bike related. So I pulled out the girls and gave em a soapy rub down.

Here' they are finishing drying out in the shade. In retrospect, I guess I really wasn't taking it easy with the injury.

Stewart, the choice of which one to ride, its tough but my 93 has been winning most of the 3 sided coin flips.... not a bad problem to have.
RobVG, my wife has accused me of spending too much time in the garage "polishing the ninja" but never really spanking the viffers.

dislocated the fingers mounting a riding buddy's rear wheel at home. Normally goes with minimal fuss. usually a one man job. So this time with a second person involved, I was out of my routine of mounting the tire and my hand slipped, jammed into the concrete on my shop floor. Surreal looking at your fingers pointing the wrong direction and wondering "why do they look like that?" before the pain set in.

 

Hey Rollin, I haven't been on VFRW very regularly due to work lately but did I miss something? You sold your VFRs?

 

Yeh that sucks when you have a "space-invader" taking up your air and screwing up your routine, have worked at shops where people, aka custamers were allowed near their bikes. Those were the days I was happy I had an extra bit of body odor.

I tore my ulnar callateral ligiment on my right hand back in 07 or so, it healed ok. Got jacked by my insurance back then, I shudder to think what would happen now! There was a time stipulation as the ligiment had to be re-attatched sooner than later.

Consider yourself lucky, I know of a few bicycle/motorcycle mechanics with mangled fingers from the chain-sprockets. One in particular lost his thumb with a rag while trying to be speedy greasing a custamers chain. :sad: Cheers and happy motoring, love my gen 3 bikes btw. My Ninja may win oot today on the commute though.

 

Would you clean mine also? BTW, you good taste in VFR s.

 

yeah, I'm just happy I still have all 11 fingers, er, I mean 10 fingers at 44 yrs considering everything they get into. I assume your thumb works ok these days since you're still riding. don't even get me started on health insurance.

 

I'm not too sure I could get your triplets any cleaner than they are already! Hope you're enjoying your new white addition!
