Haha ... just rode around for the past 5 hours ... 55*F here and sunny ... yup, that front wheel will come up if you time it just right with the VTEC and gearing. :)

I'm so addicted to the change in exhaust note when that VTEC hits .... I burned a lot of fuel today. :p

Yup ... being the bike is black, it sure warms up the legs and keeps them warm too. Looks like I'm going to need to adjust the levers a little. A tad bit too much travel / reach for my liking despite my big meat hooks.

Lots of guys busting their bikes out for the first time this season today. My arm felt like it was going to fall off from holding it out every time I passed a bike. Even sat behind a Spyder at a light today.

The surprise ones are always the best! The furthest my tire has been off the ground was leaving a rural intersection hard, coming up over the crown of the road. Who says VFRs are limited to sport touring duties :)

Polaris Industries is currently building a Brammo based product, Hopefully biased toward the Empulse R series..It will be interesting to see what they can do with the technology. Either way it should be on the market this fall.

I'd buy an electric bike in a heartbeat if I could afford it. And if they can get the range up. At least you wouldn't have to worry about R/R failures. :peep:

As far as the VTEC goes, I haven't ridden one "yet" but it can't be any different than the RD when it comes on the pipe.

A power Commander and map smoothed out vtec a lot. But if you ham fist it it will still kick. It use to bother me but not so much now. Though I still wish all valves opened all the time. I like a linear HP/torque curve. I would not like vtec on the track I bet. Dealing with entry speed, brake markers, apex and young bucks that think they are Val (or MM these days) is enough to deal with. What if your in a fast sweeper leaned over and your just under vetec at the apex and you want a good squirt out of the corner, your close to edge grip and vtec kick just enough to lose the rear. low/high side is very possible. So you have to take that transition into the entire equation and just deal with yet another factor. I know I could hustle the heavy girl around at speeds to make me smile but I think I'll just have fun in the twisties with the vfr and keep the track bike on the track.

Lots of track videos out there would seem to refute that claim. Seems like you pretty much stay in the VTEC until you get to a sweeper or something where leave the gear up, and catch VTEC on the exit.

No claim to refute. I have seen many videos and rode with a lot of guys on VFR's at the track, though most did not have vtec. I'm just saying I don't want to deal with it on the track.

It does that in addition to cleaning up the low speed fueling issues.

I know that the hit was smoothed out in 2006, but I can say that on my 2007 with the PC, I don't think there is enough of a hit or motor to make this happen. On my daily commute, I have multiple corners and do exactly this scenario and no longer worry about it. Early on I did because of the concerns I read on this forum way back in 2006, but I have found them to not be an issue - at least for myself.

Yeah probably so. You would probably have to really be flogging the old girl to have to worry about it. Probably some of my past bad track experiences of sliding down the track watching my bikes and praying it slides and does not start to tumble. I'll keep the VFR on spirited rides only, she to nice to flog that hard.

Another thing I should mention though is that my bike is stock except for the PCV. When running +1 on the rear, no matter how hard I am on it exiting a corner in VTEC range, the rear end would wiggle, but never break loose. I went +2 on the rear over the winter, so I am anxious to see if that makes a difference.
