I am installing helibars on my 01/5th gen. Their instructions require cutting the stop limiter tabs off the master cylinder housings so you can rotate them during installation. Is this absolutely necessary or is there another way around it. It also says you have to route the cables behind the forks and remove the top triple clamp to do it. Has any one else had to do this?
    Thanks for the help guys!!

I just did the install - Helibars look and feel great, btw. I used a small hacksaw and cut the tabs, doesnt take long they're aluminum - take your time. I installed RT springs and new oil at the same time so I just routed the front brake line to the rear of the fork when reinstalling - clutch and electrical lines remain in the same position. Yes these things need to happen.
Let me know if you need to know torque values for the triple clamp.
