I've got a Corbin on my '02 and my butt gives it 2 cheeks up! It's pretty firm but if you're doing a long ride soft saddles chap my hide(literally). I've never sat on a Sargent on a VFR so I can't give you a comparison, I'm sure there are alot of opinions in other posts out there.

Ive got the Sargent, and have really liked it in comparison to Corbins Ive had in the past. It is a bit more gel feeling if that makes any sense.

My Corbins have always been supportive, but a bit of a board ,and they all have lowered me at least an inch which is a negative as I have long legs, they also tend to bring you off the tank more and its a far flatter seat generally.. In short it definitely changed the ride height and angle.

The Sargent didn't seem to change the riding angle of my ass vs stock, you don't fall into the tank or get pushed back off it either. Aint cheap, but its a good saddle and a looker too! I have pics posted if you care.:smash:

I had a corbin on a st1100. it was comfortable but heavy, I never liked having to put a cover on during wet conditions to keep the leather dry, the Sargent on my vfr is very light, cooler on my rear than the corbin,at least to me,and no worries if it gets wet.

    Save your money.

I bought a used corbin for $180 and I am glad that is all I spent because its junk.

I rock the stock seat. I used the corbin once on a 2,500 mile trip and my back hurt for 3 months until I went to therapy (it aggravated some arthritis I didn't know I had). Plus, its WAY too heavy. I don't know about Sergent.

So I just did a 9 day 3,800 mile trip with the stock seat and I have no back pain.
