My husband's new toy. In Michigan, it's an autocycle. Even though you ride side by side and it has an automobile engine and transmission, it's registered as a motorcycle. It's crazy fun to drive!

All the inconveniences of a motorcycle, without any of the benefits of a car.
But it has all the inconveniences of a car, without any of the benefits of a motorcycle.

Just pulling your chain, I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

Cool. Not a friend of the Can-AM but I kinda like this one. What do they cost about? I wonder why they classify that as a motorcycle? WOuld they classify one of those Aisian delivery trucks with the single front wheel and two rear wheels as a motorcycle too? This looks like at three wheeled convertable to me.

I work at a Polaris dealership and have ridden/driven a couple of them. They're fun and pretty quick for what they are. I hear (and this is strictly hearsay) that Polaris classified them as motorcycles to circumvent airbag regulations. The only down side is they already have a few recalls and on average (at my dealership at least) it takes about 2 months to get recall parts in from the time the order is placed. A mechanic once told me " never buy the first model year of anything"... I guess he was right.

They had 2 of them at the local car show last month. My wife and I sat in it and went through it. It is much bigger in person than it looks in pictures. I'd say it's more car than bike. I do have a Can-Am Spyder RT-S for touring with the wife and the Can-Am is much, much smaller. I'd definitely like to take one for a spin to get a better impression.

I much rather have a TR6,Austin Healey 3000 or other sports car. About the same size and forward visual aspect. I don't like any of them. Seems to be for those not coordinated to ride two wheels. Do they really think they are motorcycling? I can see the fun in them like a snowmobile and be legal for the road. JMO

It's like getting in a go-cart. Steering is super tight and the back end is super light. The spousal unit says it's a drifters delight. As far as motorcycle or car, I say car. State Farm wouldn't insure ours because they can't even classify it.

    Lots of three wheelers:http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/g999/11-thrilling-three-wheeled-kit-cars/?

One guy in my club has one of the original Morgans with the JAP engine. Unrestored and it runs. Same guy has a Messerschmidt it runs too.

I had a TR4 for 12 years. Bought it from a USAF Test Pilot. He got promoted and bought a Lotus. The TR6 engines could be flakey.. The TR4 was stage II tuned.. I was aboot ready to pop for a 3000S when the TR came up for sale. Great car. Blew one head gasket and that was it for trouble. One major glitch. The spoke wheels. Not enough spokes to really get them balanced right. The fix was putting Jaguar spoke wheels on it. This was fix #2. The first fix was to weld some splines into some Buick wheels. OK but not really classy looking.. One of those function over function deals..
