Hi, I'm new here. Bought a new VFR 8th gen in 2014. It is now 8 months old and has been used through one British winter (roads are treated with rock salt when it freezes). 3000miles from new. I have taken better care of my VFR than previous bikes as it is such a lovely machine to both ride and look at. Whenever I have been out on salted roads the bike gets a good hose down, brakes dried off and is kept in a warm garage. Came to do a post winter indepth clean and found damge to the brake pistons across the board. Never seeanything like this on any bike I have owned before. Took it to Honda today who will look at a warranty claim for me but I am not hugely hopefull from what they said. looking at £30/piston +£50 seal kit + labour so could be looking at £4-500 on getting this sorted all because I deign to take my bike out in the winter. Another UK rider from VFRd forum has some damage as well. Has anyone else come across anything like this before?

    Pics hopefully attached

Saw this post on VFRD, I have checked mine at 4600 miles with a dental mirror and see no damage, 8th gens have Tokico calipers, not Nissen.
