All plastics off, and ready to start some minor repair and re-paint. I noticed the gas tank, even though the petcock is in the 'off' position, still has a trickle of gas flowing. I tilt the tank a bit and it stops, but am thinking I need to rebuild the petcock and install new seals.. Anyone know of a kit available, or is it an easy enough job to find the correct seals or 'O' rings?? Thanks / Brad

If it's a manual Honda fuel valve/petcock, that little triple-o-ring seal to the tank is one culprit. The inner o-ring is a more likely troublemaker though. They get pinched by the valve body.

Rebuild kits are common for the vac-operated valves but the manual valve isn't easy to find. They're riveted together and frequently replaced as a unit. I imagine it'd be pretty easy to find o-rings once you'd drilled the rivets out...I'd go with viton if at all possible.

I think it disassembles without drilling anything. But I do think the mouskateers triple o-rings are not available.

Thanks for the reply back.. I'll certainly find out when I take this apart. I have a good complete petcock unit coming my way, hopefully resolving the issue.. Brad
