How's everyone doing today My name Scott Reid (Reider] and I'm new to VFR world.

I just bought my first VFR our it's a 2003 all tricked out with bags and all the good stuff, well not all the good stuff but hopefully soon I'll get there.

I'm coming off of 99 Katana 750 and although I love the bike it was time for an upgrade and change to something well let's just say a whole lot nicer.

I've been wanting for for probably the last 10 years and finances finally allowed me to pick one up. Now I just got a wait till the weather in Toronto gets above the zero mark to actually get a chance to go out and ride the damn thing. Well maybe a bit higher than 0.

I've probably read at least 100 posts on various subjects throughout the forum and all I can say is you guys really know your stuff.

I'm sure I'll be looking for some help on some mods I'm looking to do such as the upgrade of the rear shock and installation of a power commander and hope that the fabulous members of the VFR world team will help me out.

Well I guess that's about it for now everyone be safe and keep the rubber down.

PS I'm jealous of the guys down south and international who gets a ride all year round!
    Have ab great weekend!

Congratulations on the VFR. This is a great forum. I just installed a PCV in my 2007, so if you want the thread that covers it, I can dig it up.

Hi fella welcome to the Madhouse from the still very snowy French Alps.:welcome:

Whilst this was the view here at lunchtime today, tomorrow it will finally be warm enough to wake the VFR from its winter slumber. So the battery has gone back on the tender and with temperatures forecast to reach 10 degree C, its definitely time for the mountains to echo to that vtec roar once again.

PS some riders find these bikes are a bit top heavy and can rapidly adopt horizontal parking mode with little or no warning. It would be a shame to see those nice new bags scratched up - so until you get used to the new bike, just take care when parking or riding at very low speeds.

Very nice indeed. Looks like the previous owner fitted a taller double bubble style screen as well!

Mine finally came out of its winter hibernation today and started first time - got to love these amazing machines.

Just keep with the servicing and they go on and on.
