It looks like all you guys are within walking distance to Reg's. Maybe one of these times you could ride north to say, Eureka or Crescent City and meet up with some PNW riders.

    Just a thought...

It's called Reggie's Roadhouse Roundup for a reason :smile-new: Reg host this as an annual event at his home, he opens his doors to all VFRWorld riders as well as "tag-alongs". Riders from all over the country and Canada have made the trek. Last year we had two riders who crossed the country to be there. One from Ohio and another from Georgia, and that's in addition to the guys from Canada. I get what your saying and can see your point but I think it would probably be a different event.

You guys should go sometime. zenbiker came last year from Assinaboia Sask. Our attendee from Ohio rode his Nighthawk there. Beausejour, through Shilo and onto Atascadero is a 32 hour ride. You should be able to do that in three days of hard riding. The Google Maps route takes you right by Yellowstone which you had mentioned you would like to see. A slight variation of that trip through Rapid CIty and Mount Rushmore area adds only two hours to that trip. If you do 1000 miles in 24 hours, you will qualify for and Iron Butt Association award but you need to set that up ahead of time.

I say we hold a Randy fund drive and raise enough to get you there and enough to send your wife on a "girls retreat". Win, Win for everyone!

Ahhh Randy it's called a Super Blackbird. If you haven't made at least one R3 Roundup you have to try and make it. It's a super fun weekend with super people. They even let canucks come, so they are not all that bad. You may want to make sure you have insurance, bike/hospital because Bruce and Tory might show up again.

Great times, great food and super people. What more could you want for free!!! Glad I made it last year. Don't think I can make it this year. Yellowstone is in the picture for this years cruise.

:jaw: OMG. I am crushed by my error. But was thinking of you man. You were the bad ass of the brass ass on that trip. I think you even beat my mileage regardless of my wandering around lost in the fields and hills of Colorado, Wyoming Nebraska, and the Dakotas. I think I was in Montana too but not really sure.

I definitely want to do it, not sure if this year is the year though ...

Haha, that's pretty much the routes that I was looking at. I'm a bit of a machine when it comes to driving / riding ... I drive from Winnipeg, MB to Muncie, IN in a single day every summer. I'm up for the Iron Butt Challenge. :)

How much does it cost you blokes out on the road on trips like this? Out here it seems to cost us about $150 a day for fuel food staying in a country pub and a few beers at the end of the day

That's going to be relative to where one starts. For us So. Cal riders, it's only a 4-6 hour (depending on route and speed) to get to Reg's. Usually one or two fill ups of gas 4.5/gal x $3.00/gal (avg), plus lunch. Reg lets us camp in the back yard or crash in one of the open rooms he has, so no lodging charges, other than a donation to Reg for his hospitality. The others who travel cross country would have to chime in on their journeys, for us So Cal peeps, it's not very costly.

Ok. Let's say there is enough interest and its on.

I'm not going to advertise heavy and I'm going to let those attending handle most of the hype, t-shirts (or not), route plans to get here, etc.

I'll provide the house, the grill, the food after we take up a collection and maybe even a beer or two. I do have a kegerator that is dying to be used also.

Yeah, I might be in. Might be a long haul from here in the PNW, but interested, depending on dates.

I'll see if I can strong arm Long into taking his VFR. Besides, he's taking an adventure trip on his beemer , he'll need to get back on the VFR at some point.

Go! Two days going, two days return. Relatively easy days unless you are on the 49th Parallel. You can do in in a day of long and hard riding. You won't regret it. A better bunch are hard to find.

Usually held on your Memorial Day long weekend. Ride in, meet and greet the Friday, day ride on the Saturday. Wash the crust out of the molars Saturday night, then mosey on home Sunday.

I have a friend that lives near sand city and I'll be in San Fran near that time. If it works out I'll borrow one of his bikes and come. It won't be a VFR but it has 2 wheels.

We've had non-VFR's before, mainly BMW's, and one Harley I think. 2 wheels are welcome!
