So I have a new job, and as such am moving back to the US. Hooray Money!

But, it doesn't really make sense to ship my VFR, when I could just sell it here in Europe, and then buy a new one when I get to the states. The question is, should I sell the bike how it is now, or replace the fairings and sell it for a bit more?

I recently repaired/repainted the fairings, and they are now white. The tank is red, since I had to replace it. If I replace the fairings, they will be red, and the plastic chinese ones that you can get for around $380.

What do you guys and gals think? Buy the new fairings? Sell it as is, and tell the new owner where they can get new ones?

I would do the latter, sell as-is and let the new owner make the call. Unless you feel that new fairings would actually help sell the bike faster, no sense in spending more money on something you're about to get rid of. That's my take on it. GLWS

From all I have read on this forum, the cheap Chinese fairings are not recommended, better to let new owner decide, he may want to spend $ on OEM.
