I have a 92 VFR (Canadian version) and I ordered new carb needle valve seats. The ones they sent have a 2.6 stamped on the top while the originals that I removed have a 2.4 stamped on top. Otherwise they are identical and fit perfectly. Two questions:

    1. What does the number represent?
    2. Will the new needle valve seats work or did they send the incorrect parts?

So I've asked a couple of people and they noted that the numbers just represent different flow rates and that the rate at which the float bowls fill up with fuel does not have an effect on how the carbs operate. Based on my limited understanding of how these carbs work that seems to make sense to me. Can anyone verify this is correct?
