Currently got the carbs pulled off the bike and cleaning everything up after a few months of sitting (gunked up slow jets).

While everything is apart, I'm going ahead and replacing air filter, oil change, coolant flush, thermostat, etc. I'd like to replace the coolant hoses, but can't seem to find replacements anywhere.

I've done some searching around here and seen that there's a place in the UK selling them (racebikebitz I think). Question is, are they the only option for this gen? Every other place I've checked online doesn't list them as being available anymore. Any sources stateside?

Am I SOL on this one?

    Thanks all

I have ordered set of hoses to 3rd gen from Samco. They are very good quality and you can order from many colours. They made sets for a couple of guys interested. I recall they also made a set for 4th gen because it is quite close to the one of 3rd gen. Check out here http://www.samcosport.com/uk/index.asp

I have the samco kit for my 4th gen and they are very well made. I got mine in black as I don't really want to admire rad hoses, I just want them to work. There are many colours though.

Yes. Racebikebitz in the UK. Don't think anyone else makes them. They have the 7 hose silicone kit for the 4th gen. Got mine about a month ago. I was shocked when fedex guy was at my door less than a week after I ordered. IIRC is was about $150. Pretty steep, but the alternative of being stranded some day far from home w/ failed 20 year old hoses appeals to me even less . . .

Thanks for the input, everybody. I'm gonna check out Racebikebitz and get some of the black hoses in the near future.

THX1388, are your black hoses matte black like regular black hoses, or do they have that shiny appearance like the colored ones? I'm not so crazy about colors and such, and just looking to have some regular, good quality hoses installed. That said, I don't really think I'll have much of a say in the matter since they're damn near impossible to find anymore. I guess it really doesn't matter as long as they're doing their job.

    Thanks again!
