Hey guys, just bought myself a 2005 vfr ABS last weekend (thanks for the warm welcome by the way), and I'm trying to make her look pretty again. The previous owner replaced one of the bar ends with a plastic one on the side where he dropped it in a parking lot, and the other was stock i believe but was rotating no matter how much i tightened it. I'm looking for some relatively inexpensive bar ends that are hopefully just as heavy or heavier than stock. the only ones I could find so far are these http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Heavy-Weighted-Bar-Ends/dp/B003WGDL2I . I'm just wondering if any of you have some better recommendations or if I should just go ahead and buy the ones I linked. Thanks!

They seem to have pretty good reviews. FOr 30 bucks including shipping, you can't loose. Vibranators are available from a source in Las Vegas that are highly praised by those who have them. But I am sure they are quite a bit more.

Thanks Randy, by the way I put one of the seat cowls the previous owner gave me on the bike today to see how it looked and I noticed it already has 2 foam blocks near the rear. Should I take those off and put the felt pads you recommended there?

I wouldn't take them off at this point. They work, for a time, but they do wear down. Just keep an eye on them and when the two plastic pieces look close enough that they are about to start rubbing, replace that foam with the felt pads at that time.

Vibranators definitely pricier but worth every penny. I have helibars with the Vibranators - fantastic combination!

I ended up getting the bar ends I linked above. They turned out really well and are actually quite heavy too. For 20$, you cant go wrong. I would recommend them for anyone looking for some budget bar ends.
