    Hi guys!
I am new to the forum and own a 2012 model vfr1200x crosstourer.
I've had it for a year now and love it!

I was hoping one of you might have seen or own the same bike that has had the conversion on the wheels to the vfr1200f wheels.

My rims are buckled and need to be replaced, so I am sitting with the option of getting original spoked rims or putting on the vfr1200f magnesium wheels.

So far I see that the abs sensor's pick-up will have to be changed as they are different sizes, but brake discs seem to be same diameter, except front is 10mm larger on the vfr1200f..

Can anyone give me some advice, will it be easy to swop the wheel or is there heavy machining required?

If you mean where did I take my wheels to be trued, I went to a KTM shop close to my house.
After they gave the bike back I tried to true the front wheel myself at home, I got the front to stop shaking the handlebars, but the rim outers are twisted because they have been stretched in KTM's attempt to press out the bumps..
I phoned another company who said that they can get the rims better by taking them apart and getting them 90% to what they should be, but won't be perfect for road use, so I'll slap some offroad tyres on those if I go on a Botswana or Namibia tour...

Unfortunately the US doesn't get the cross tourer so limited info here, do you have pics of your bike? I like the one in the pics you posted, what model is that one? BTW, taco means you taken a straight wheel and folded it...

Hahaha sorry.. no the wheels are just buckled from pothole or bump.. I'm not exactly sure.. I think the rims were actaully damaged by the previous owner, I just never realised it. It was only after fitting my current tyres that I noticed the wear was very uneven on the rear tyre and the front had dents and a spoke that looked like it was gonna pull out of the rim (tiny surface cracks on rim).

I think I am just to over sensitive on the small things.. And I ride basically only on tar, so cornering traction is more critical for me..

    Anyways.. here is my beauty!

After fitting my new spotlights.. standard low beams are extremely poor needed something extra..
My bike is the 2012 model non adventure, adventure version just comes with standard crashbars, spotlights, heated grips etc.. where as I fitted mine afterwards with other name brand accessories, givi and puig..

There is not much difference in models since it's release in 2012, I only see they changed some electronics on the 2015 model and gave it a bicolour paint job..
