We had a great ride(yesterday). He has a Rebel250 for his 1st bike. We did @ four hours on the road, and even hit a few twisty sections. He did good for his first outing. I am looking forward to many more rides with my son

    Ride Red!

That is only a few degrees above normal for this time of the year here on the Wet Coast. We have pretty mild winters here comparitively.

I put on a left hand mirror and put some Red Line fuel injection cleaner in it. That stuff is worth it's weight in gold. My bike was running a bit rough, a little hesitation when quickly revved and a lot of vibration. I've only got about 35 miles on it with this in it, but I can already tell a big difference. My bike is running smoother and as a really big bonus, my fuel gauge is not dropping to the next bar after only ten miles. I rode over 25 miles before it dropped. I'm super stoked!

Did a little preventive maintenance today. Including shoveling 3 ft of snow off the garage roof to keep it from collapsing on the bikes.

^nice story with your second son. I just commuted to work on mine, so; I got paid to ride basically :loco: I installed a braided clutch line a few days ago and discovered that I need replace the slave cylinder. So, I decided to do an overhaul on the master cylinder as well. Parts are ordered, can still ride the bike though.

Today I took off the heat shield behind the rear master cylinder (or whatever it is with Honda's complicated brakes) and sanded some of it and I sprayed a couple of coats of high temp paint. I'll put it back on tomorrow. Took me a minute to figure out how to remove it and then all of a sudden I was like, duh, two bolts and I could take it apart...

Installed Dougerty Motorsport fork inserts, 929 shock and new Dunlap tires. Very nice change in handling and ride.

Jamie released this kit almost right after I had him rebuild my forks for the '01. I sent my forks to him, but this kit is supposed to be a "drop in" kit, so easy even a caveman can do it! You'll want to get the rear shock changed at the same time to really enjoy the benefits.

yeah, that's my next thing to do with my Viffer. I really am looking forward to it to get the most out of my new PR4s. All in all I think it's about $1K for all of it.

$595 for the cartridge kits and Ducc, for us it's $395 for the shock because the 6th Gen uses the CBR 600 FI shock for $395. $990 total.

Hopefully I WON'T have to ride it. My GS500 has been off the road for the better part of a month, so the poor VFR has been used as my daily ride (made even worse by the fact thai it's our rainy season) Holding thumbs that said GS is now sorted.

New barnet clutch kit, new did chain and sprocket kit, new set of tires and a fresh set of plugs. Going to sync the throttle bodies next. Changed all the fluids at the end of last summer. Going to feel like a new bike.
