Any body have any experience on installing Denali D2 running lights? They want a hot 12 volt source that shuts of with the key and a another to the high beam wire switch wire. The 2014 is wired like nothing I've worked with before due to the LED headlights. I'm wondering if any older VFRs might point me in the right direction.

It might be easier to just put on a separate switch and avoid the high beam wiring altogether. I've been thinking about getting some of those myself to mount on the fork legs, mainly to provide some corner lighting at night. As I'm sure you've noticed, when you're leaning around a dark corner, the LED headlights turn into a line of light on the road and send nothing into the corner. If I do end up getting a set, I will want to be able to turn them on at will, not just with the high beams.

I'd look at some lights from Rigid instead. I have dually spots on mine. All the "moto" lights from denali and piaa are retarded expensive for the amount of light you're not getting. Depending on when you want them to come on, (high beam, ignition etc) tap the 12V "on" to the coil side of a relay. Run aux lights right from battery through inline fuse to switched side of relay.

for the same price as those Denali's, you can get a set of the D2 hyperspots from rigid. Which will far out throw beam distance wise.

I looked at the schematic for my bike and the HI Beam and Passing switch operate a relay like traditional lights, you can pick up there. I can scan it later if you need it.
