Hey guys, I'm in the market for a VFR but I don't have very much money for extras. I was hoping to get a decent deal on a VFR with a nice exhaust system and PC5 on it already, but it kinda fell through. Anyway, I found a full delkevic carbon exhaust system on ebay that might just be in my price range and I was curious what you guys thought. I have read most of the forums I could find regarding this system and the consensus seems to be pretty mixed. Some say its very good quality for the money and they are happy with their purchase, others say it doesn't have room for the center stand and its melting various bits under the bike. Frankly, I don't think I could really afford anything else besides this system so I'm hoping to hear good things haha.

I'm hoping I might be able to get some input from people who have been running the full delkevic system and get their thoughts on installation, any lasting issues, and if you noticed a boost in power at all. Thanks guys.

I havent heard much about the full systems at all but why not just go with the slip on version? I've seen a lot more reviews of them and all positive so far and the main reason people change exhaust is for sound since power gains are generally negligible.

Well, i heard that with a full system you get a noticeable bump in mid range and a bit of a deeper tone. The guy i was about to buy a VFR from said he had a full Delkevic system and that along with a PC5 he actually got a decent bump in performance. I was just curious what others here thought about them before I commit to buying a set.

That being said though, I just called a guy about a 2002 VFR in Italian red with some two brothers cans. I'll definitely have to hear what they sound like. But from the videos I have seen the delkevics are one of my favorite sounding systems and they are also very cheap. I'm mainly referring to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Yn5kuPIQPI video for the delkevic sound.

I put the delkevic headers on my 2000 vfr to get rid of the catalytic converter. The fit was not perfect and after much persuasion with a few pry bars and busted knuckles to line them up, it took a full afternoon just to install them.
Once installed I added the high mount pipe and installed the delkevic pipe. (I also drilled out the rivets on the pipe and removed about 2 wraps of the pipe insulation and re-riveted it back together with stainless rivets )
I disabled the pair system, swapped out the air filter for a k&n, and installed a pc III
After trying several programs I down loaded for the pc III I still wasn't happy. It sounded great but the bike had flat spots. I had it set up by a professional on a dyno............ way worth the money !! The bike just pulls no matter what your rpms are. It turned it into a new bike !
I am very satisfied with my Delkevic with the sound and performance now .
Just remember modifying your bike is very addicting and it never stops ............. but its so much fun !!

If the exhaust is a new unit from Delkevic's EBay site, then it is less expensive if you buy it directly from them, as they don't have to pay EBay's auction fees. http://www.delkevic.us/?section=shop&bike_manufacturer=honda

I've only read good things about their stuff and I'm going to be getting one myself.

Wow, thanks it is a bit cheaper to buy from their site. It doesn't look like they have the combo headers and slip on deal on their site though. Maybe if I contact them they'll give a slight discount from buying through their site.

Just remember they are made in China!Have just removed my full Delkovic system and fitted a full Motad system. Delkovics are not dyno or flow tested, Motads are. Internal views of the headers show not very clean lines. My Delkovic did sound good with the baffle removed though. You get what you pay for.

Hey thanks for the reply. Did you notice any performance bump at all from the full delkevic system? I'm not sure if I can afford the motads right now, but for the money the delkevics really look and sound good.

It is header if you get the header and the slipons directly from them. I posted in VFRD about a price that I got for the full system. I'll see if I can find it.

Yeah, I can[t find it, they don[t have a decent search engine there anymore. Just call and ask them for it. They gave me a price for the header(downpipe) and the slip-ons. I spoke with Janielle and she even gave me a part number for it, but I can't find it. The full set with the carbon cans was less than what A TBR carbon slipon was.
