Hello people. Been looking around for a good vfr forum for a while now and finally came across this one :)
I'm james 24 from southern uk.
Had a few bikes in my brief motorbike period but nothing compares to the enjoyment I get out of my vfr.
Started off with a Sachs xtc125, great little bike but unfortunately you had to Learn how to be a mechanic with it as I was working on it nearly every weekend getting it rideable for the next weeks commute....
Then had a suzuki gs500. That was well.... A commuter... Nothing special just did the job really.
Then another cummuter that was a bit more fun, a Kawasaki er5, that was quite good fun to ride. It was very light and would go if you gave it a kick up the arse.
Had the pleasure of riding a Yamaha fazer for a short period, which again was a nice improvement on the er5.
But still nothing compares to the vfr800 vtec abs that I have now. I love it.

Unfortunately it didn't come with pipes I put them on back in October (birthday pressies from the misses ;) )
The Sachs was brilliantly unreliable and extremely uncomfortable. Look at the seat! Went like a little rocket though.

Welcome aboard! The Sachs looks very cool. I had a Sachs 125 two stroke back in the 70s. It was in a Penton 6 Day. It went well but had a papier-mâché transmission.

Welcome aboard from Essex! Where are you?

Only ever seen one Sachs on the road, on my commute across London I sometimes saw a guy on a red one. Your VFR looks shiny! :congratulatory:

i live in chichester on the south coast. When I had my Sachs I only ever saw one other, when I saw it I started waving uncontrollably at him and then he realised and did the same. TWas a very bizarre moment. Never saw him again :( wanted to ask him if he also had trouble with water in the fuel or trying to find a new rear sprocket for a bike that nobody new anything about...

Are there many people on here from the south of the uk??
