Oh Hell, she divorced my ass close to 30 yrs ago. Back in 03 when I told my then girlfriend that I thought I would buy a bike and start riding again she was horrified and told me; "it's me or the bike, you can't have both" Of course I went right out and bought the first of many great motorcycles and said good bye to her. Since then I've met a number of women who like to ride. The point is, you're never too old for a motorcycle as long as you can climb on, work the controls and see down the road.

I know what to push and pull on a bike to make it respond but women??
When I was young I was told that women are a mystery, how right he was.
With women you can push the same button and get different results.
But give me a choice of cuddling up to a nice warm women in bed or a bike in a cold garage, no choice.

As an "old soul" 38 y/o, I caught some of my very first experiences on a quite well-worn Rupp minibike; one that I bartered for!
As soon as I got it as a youngster, I even did my own Tecumseh engine swap on it too. LOL!

I don't think age really matters in subjects such as this. Or in any subject, really. In my own case, with the VFR800A I just took delivery of, I'm playing up more to the "touring" characteristics than the "sport." That's simply my choice. The once familiar "you're too young," "you're too old," "you're too <this>," or "you're too <that>" are only the outdated cries of ignorant social 'norms' that, I believe, were laid to rest decades ago.

Yes, responsibilities in life exist, and must be honored, but, if you're successfully doing so, you've earned some leeway to explore anything and everything that, reasonable, makes you happy.

I am just shy of 66 and ride my 1996 VFR every week in the lovely mountains of NE Georgia. Would ride it more often but have a collection of bikes and cannot show favorites:)
