Welcome to the site. Gotta be alert. We need losts of lerts here. A set of Staintunes rally sound nice without making the bike ugly loud. I wished I had a set for mine.

I sold a set of used OEM to someone here who was going to gut them but he has dissappeared from the site so don't know what they sound like. If and when I ever do a total rebuild on mine, I will spring for a set of Stainetunes. Either that or get a new bike. See if I can pry some money from the wife's purse.

What are you guys, teenagers?!

I'm still kicking myself for not taking the oem mufflers when I bought the bike.

Oh Yeah, Welcome Bucky!

Pretty sure my 86 still has the OEM cans on it, it is pretty quiet, bit stealth like, but you can feel the V4

I prefer stealth mode all the way. Nobody hears me having fun. No annoyed neighbors. And the intake noise is plenty.
I had a D&D 2 into one on my sporster and it was loud but when you wind the piss out of it and make all kinds of racket you were only going 35mph anyway.

Loud pipes save lives or something like that. They sure don't save many pesos.

I also am always in the Brecons, my favourite part of Wales. Have you tried the A4O59 from Hirwaun running north to the junction with the A470 close to the Beacons reservoir. Turn left here for approx 2 miles to the butty bar . Great road and pretty quiet.<span style="color: rgb(40, 40, 40); font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 14.9333333969116px;">

im up there every week, my gf lives that was and need to drive over the mountain to get to hers, the back mountain is the utter most best road you will find in the wales, and possibly england, sharp corners, on the hill, nice and twisites going down, and then a straight for about 5 miles, utter bikers paradise!!

altho the stop at the end is terries burger van, lesson 1, dont park your bike were it will get blocked as its a bikers meeting place, when they get of they dont get on for ages, and impossible to find the bikes owner! i know that from experience haha

Yep, that comes with experience. ...park always with a way out. Learned the hard way, had to swivel three harleys
(bastards) at work on there kickstands to squeeze my bike out....called two worker buddies to help.
