Hello, my vfr is having a problem. I turn the bike on and everything runs fine and idles fine no sound or anything.

But 5-10 mins later my engine kills. And my bike wont turn back on. But when i start riding it before those 5-10 mins It works fine. Only when its idling is when it dies then i have to put it on the tender

I'm not sure if this is R/R or battery or engine problem please help.

*edit* i noticed a little that my RPM is at 18,000 rpm the drops to 15,000. It does that consistently and then it kills

I am surprised it ever restarts after being at 18000 rpm.

But seriously, is it overheating when left to idle? Might be getting tight enough just to stall but losens up when cooled down. What is the temp gauge showing?
You should certainly run through the drill for the charging system.

    Good luck.

Are you using too much choke ?? After 1 minute choke should be off and idle speed adjusted with the suitable screw or plugs will foul and engine stall. :distress:
