    Getting Integrated Led Signal Mirrors

Hi guys, it is me again! :)

I want to get new mirror to VFR800 2005. I found few post in the forum but not helped in clearly. I found mirror with led and i loved them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-L...Parts_Accessories&hash=item19e91daa1f&vxp=mtr

There is no VFR800 in description but it is not the point. I can find another mirror. The question is; if i got new mirror with led signals, have to remove current signals? I have seen some photos and no need but i want to be sure. Second question is; i need any adaptor or some electricial things for that or i just install paralel it to current signals.

I didn't add any resistor to my wiring. The lights flash faster than normal and I like it that way.

If you are leaving the existing signals on and adding the LED's then no resistor required, you just have to get the wires the right way because LED's are polarity sensative

One note on those mirrors. I have had something very similar to those on another bike and ended up becoming a bit of a hassle. Mine did not stay in the position to which they were adjusted. The joint that connects the stalk to the mirror head got very loose, so upon acceleration the wind and vibrations caused them to droop and I could then only see my feet. This may have been an isolated set though.

    Best of luck!

I had a similar experience to pnero01. Mine folded back while I was riding and when I tried to pull over the mirror jammed against my handlebar and the plastic mount snapped. I would not buy them again because the mount was so weak.

I also recall that someone used GSXR mirrors with integral lights on their OE stalks.

Bummer, I should have waited for your reply before ordering them. Oh well. I guess I'll look them over really well and if need be return them.

Tink has been happy with his. Maybe you will like them enough to keep. I wanted something that was all metal. I bought something without led's, though.

Ok, where the hell were those when I was looking around? I agree that they look right.

Shit .... I might have to buy those.

Can you confirm that the bases and arms are aluminum, or are they plastic?

I am doing a cut and paste from the other thread I posted in as well. Can't be too careful.

Ok, the mirrors I ordered from Amazon were utter shite! I didn't even get them on my bike and the glass fell off of one of them!!!! Damn man, what crap!!! I get my money refunded, but I have to send them back. I've shit better quality than these. It's a bummer too because they have LEDs that shine through the mirror glass that allows you to see if the blinker is on.

    Don't buy these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
