FIRST POST! New here to VFR world and to the world of VFR's. I just traded a boat for a 1991 VFR 750. Not new to bikes, I have ridden and built American twins in the past. Sold my electra-glide when my daughter was born 4 years ago, and stared out the window or listened for the sound of people going down road on bikes, on the nice sunny days. Was really getting itchy to buy or build another when all of the sudden a man made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I got a 91 vfr that needs a little work but can ride now, best of both worlds. I had a ZX-6 in my younger days but have not ridden a sports bike in a long time. So here starts another journey, another lesson, etc. My Brother has a VFR 800 so he familiar with the bikes and was helpful in steering me here. I gave her a basic once over and tune up, plugs, filters, oil, coolant, chain, etc. Took her around the block and I was 18 again, and quickly realized I was not 18. Hope to learn a lot from everyone here. LIVE,LEARN,PASS ON
Welcome to the forum! you have got yourself a wonderful machine. Don't let anyone try to talk you into swapping rear wheels with you. The 3rd gen 8-spoke are highly desirable! Post some pictures as soon as you can.
:welcome: to the nuts house BWOOD  You have come to the right place :thumb: Great peeps here but they can be rough Might want to post pictures of your VFR before they bust your chop mate. Ride safe and ATGATT
Welcome bud...enjoy and don't listen to Marriedman, your bike would look SOOOO much better with the 6 gen wheel.....pm me
Ah! Too late! Someone snagged the 8-spoke and swapped it out with a 4th gen 5 spoke. As for the fairings that may be missing, I think I saw some on ebay last week.
Your not being new to bikes overall, and having a brother who owns a VFR800 struck me. I'm not quite new to bikes either and I *just* bought my brother's VFR800A off of him! Welcome, fellow new guy.
