Dish gloves work well also as long as they aren't pink...

I use the nitrile gloves as liners and have had pretty good luck with that. Your hands to tend to sweat though......

I thought about trying the nitrile gloves as well, I have a supply of them I could use but figured the sweating would be just as bad as getting wet.
Moot point for now as its too damn cold to ride and on the days when its warm enough there is too much salt and gravel on the roads.
I really want to go for a ride though. I wonder how far south I would have to trailer it before it gets warm enough for a nice long ride...

Put the gloves on before your jacket. I do it when snowboarding for the same reason. A little tight, but easier than trying to tuck them in.

How about just buying an inexpensive rain overcoat (designed for motorcyclists of course)? You put it over your jacket. This way the overcoat sleeves can cover the glove's gauntlet so water doesn't flow inside the gloves. It worked for me while riding on a steady downpour that lasted well over 2 hours.
