    Hi all,

Does anyone know if the clutch cover from a RC36 will fit a RC24/26? I have checked and the gasket is the same.

    Thanks,

    bigb.

They sure look the same, but the partsnumbers do differ.

Yes they look very similar don't they, as well as the gasket being the same a lot of the internal clutch & starter clutch parts are shared across all VFR's. If anyone owns both models I will pay for new gaskets if they would be willing to actually test fit a RC24 casing on to a RC36.

    Please help,

    bigb.

86 and 87 are different, the cover is a bit wider on the 86 over the pick up coils. The cover will bolt on withoot any problems but will jam the coils down with enough force to lock up the engine so please be careful.

Thanks for that info, I think I will be ok then as I am going to be fitting a 86 casing onto my 1994 Rc36. Sebspeed is going to mod' it with one of his brilliant clear cover mod's which he is currently offering at a discounted price over on VFRD to members of that forum for anyone that's interested. If anyone was interested in getting one done for a 86 they can source a 3rd/4th Gen case and send it to Seb and they can have mine any takers?

    Thanks again for the info,

    BigB.
