2001 rc51 sp-1

'01 with a straight body other than a chipped windscreen, aftermarket high mount dual exhaust, 14k miles.

Guy says it needs an injector and the fuel pump replaced.

Apparently everything else is ready to rock 'n' roll.

What's a reasonable sum of American dollars that one would offer for such a thing?

Hmmm.... Seems like I might not have much room for a counter-offer based on those. As many things as I've wrenched on, a bad injector isn't something that has ever come up. Can't they be saved most times by a rebuild from a reputable shop? A quick search on eBay didn't bring any used examples up, but the fuel pumps are a dime a dozen apparently.

 

By the way, I've seen that white bike a couple times in my searches for an RC. That thing is slick! Even at that odo reading. Were my budget a bit looser......

Because it's an 01 that you have not seen run I would venture between 2000-2200 depending on the brand of exhaust.

 

Exhaust is Jardine. They seem to be a popular choice. He also got back in touch to let me know it has a PC3.
