It has been a while since I have posted so I hope this question has not been covered by someone else. I have a 84 VFR1000F and have done many, many repairs to it. Have it back on the road after pulling the carbs, steering head bearings, new tires and all the other things after purchasing a bike that sat for too long. I also put in a fuel pump after I seemed to have a fuel delivery problem. Problem now is this: starts easily, pulls like a monster off the bottom but at about 4200 rpms it starts to vibrate and the rpms climb a lot slower. It will still continue to rev but at slower pace and vibrate. I am going to adjust the valves soon but am looking for other options. Thanks for the help.

Sounds more like ignition. Bad plugs, bad wire or the most likely the ignition box itself. When some ig boxes go they limit rpm and fall on their face in the lower to mid rpms. If it only happens when hot then a suspect could be the spark generators under the right side cover.

Thanks, I was thinking that may be another tree to bark up. Plugs are new but I will check the wires and I assume the pulse generator.
