I'm sportin a 92'vfr 750f and am completely done with these mirrors. The rubber boot on these things suck. I'm on my 3rd set in 14 months! The rubber doesn't stay on the provided bracket (to give it a "flush mounted" look) and tends to split and crack at the ends. I measured the mounting holes @ 2" center. I thought the newer 06' Intercepter mirrors would work but, they're a 1/4" too close together. Does anyone out there have any idea I could use? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.:pout:

    Ah, an old favourite..

The mounting holes are 50mm apart here in the metricated world.

As you say, the VTEC model mirrors do not fit, but the 5th Gen "Y2K" mirrors do, and are the standard fitment for those in your position. There may be others which will fit, but thereby is the joy of modifying

Rogue may be right - I used the y2k mirrors on both my '98 and '95. If the 3rd gen uses the same mirrors as the 4th,(my '95 4th gen had the rubber condom thingies), then the Y2K mirrors will fit your 3rd gen as well. You can see pics in my gallery.

I bought the mirrors from www.ronayers.com
Be sure to look at the fische and get the right part numbers. Actually look at 2001 model year.

    Good luck!

I found some mirrors that both have a great look and don't have the rubber boot on them. They're 02' gixxer mirrors and dispite them being shorter (they don't stick out as far) I actually have a better view to the sides and rear. They didn't match up initially but, a little coersion and a drimmel... they fit perfect!

I have a 93's and i'm looking for some new mirrors too. The byke as a strange "insect" look with the original mirrors, they look like "antenas".
    Sight's on those Y2K.

Yeah, I kinda like that, actually. But then, I'm a big dork. My VFR had these ridiculously tiny mirrors (I think they were CBR F4 mirrors) that were utterly worthless when I bought it. Zero visability past my shoulders. I don't know what the PO was thinking. Fortunately, he gave me the stock mirrors/hardware, so I put the "antenna/condoms" back on. To hell with appearances, in terms of visability they're the best mirrors I've ever used.

I had Y2K mirrors on my 92. They fit perfectly, and you can get both mirrors and hardware shipped from dynamohumm for $125 USD. Best deal anywhere!

    Cheers
