Can the 6th gen headers fit a 5th gen bike?

My understanding is yes they are. I have a set of 5 Gen cat-less headers that are destined to go on my 6 Gen, just haven't gotten around to that yet.

Are your 5th gen headers on their way out or something? I recently ordered a stainless set from Delkevic to replace the mild steel headers on my bike when the collector finally rots through. Probably won't be for years, but I decided to order the aftermarket headers now while they are still available, I mean the bikes already 15 at this point. Quality seems decent enough. Price is way cheaper than a new OEM set from Honda. Shipped fast came with all clamps, 4 new copper header gaskets etc... Ordered through ebay, looks like they will ship to you folks down unda.

My understanding is the the 6th gen will fit, but why would you want to? They are smaller diameter and have a catalytic convertor on it. A popular mod on 6th gens is the '98 or '99 pipes installed. No cat and larger dia.

Mine is a 2001, so it has the cat already.
The 6th gen is stainless, and I think of better quality then the Delkevics.
I was planing on gutting the cat before installing.
