Hi there, new to this forum.
I just got a VFR800 (2003) a couple of months ago, been going good. Riding home in the wet last night however the lights decide to die completely other than my parking lights, no low/high beams. I have gone through the fuse, both switches (starter and low/high), all bulbs are good (tested). I have power to the red/black wires, power to the (small) blue/white also. But still no lights...

    anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.

Lights are control by relays, but low beam should normally be on. On the VFRs the two lower lamps are wired for low beam only, the high beams are the two upper lamps. All I can say is check all connectors, from the left handle bar with the hi/lo switch and the feed to the lamps. Has to be logical explanation.

Did you pull the bulbs and test for power in the socket and you are absolutely certain the bulbs are good? That seems very odd.

OK...Honda gets the gold for hiding away connectors into the most remote part of the nose cone (or at least some one put it there) so that you dont see it untill you pull it off...connector loose; suddun loss of lights. All is fine now. The vfr enigma is resolved. Thanks for the input.
