The new 2015 CB1000R is on the site now...looks great in that red/black scheme! Way better than the gold/black 2014 IMHO.

MSRP is TBD, I wonder if it will take a small jump? The '14 price was $11,760. I don't see any changes other than paint from the '14. I would love to see one in person, but there is a 2014 at the local dealer that been there all year. I bet they won't get a '15 until they move that one. I would love to have one, but $12K is just out of my price range right now.

I really like the CB500F too, looks kinda like a scaled down version of the CB1000R. But at just 47hp it's way too small. If they would bring the CB650F version to the US that would probably be in a more affordable price range for me and have the power I would want. I would think hard about jumping on one of those.

+1 It does look much better. Now if Honda could just loose that reject from an appliance looking exhaust system.

Exhaust on that CB1000R looks better than what came on my VFR 1200, at least.

The front from the profile looks like a wasp head, more like something Yamaha would do. Not digging it. Doesn't matter the bike is fantastic.

You think the Honda front end looks insect like (I agree, it does)....but check out the Kawasaki version.....lol.....

Seems like the only ones that get the headlight area to look right on naked bikes are the Italians. Especially the Ducati Monster 821, the headlight is there but its tucked in between the forks as far back as it can get. Heck, the 821 is just straight up beautiful all around.

Yes the Z1000 maintains the praying mantis / Alien look Kawasaki has had. Love their trademarked greens, great colors.

I agree there is nothing more beautiful than the Monster lineup. But you need two while one is always being worked on

Is it me, or are most motorcycles getting uglier these past few years?

I personally love the lines and looks of the VFR800 Interceptor and the Ducatti Panigale. I think they're dead sexy ... even the new Africa Twin is hot compared to it's 'beaked' counterparts.

(sorry about the necro-bump ... just something that popped into my mind as I read through some old posts)

IMHO, most modern bikes suffer from what I like to call ISSS (Imitation SpaceShip Syndrome.) Gross.

The design of cars and motorcycles definitely goes in stages and it seems to spend longer periods of time in the "blah" stage then in the "hey look we discovered a beautiful aesthetic" stage.
