Please please please replace the vfr1200 with this. Why honda doesnt have a proper mass available v4 1000 is mind boggling.

Unfortunately this looks like RC30, RC45 all over again.

 

I think we all knew this was going to be bitter-sweet. A high performance "VFR" more worthy of the track than on the street and that the price would be well beyond most of our pocket books! Still good to see this actually get unveiled. Now to find a buyer for my kidney...

 

Honestly, I think I'd rather have the new RSV4 RR.

Yes a great bike, and one that is affordable, only the well off could afford the RC213V, well I guess it will look nice parked alongside his Desmo.

I dunno, maybe I'm just a cheap bastard, but while I think the tech is cool, $25-$65K for a one of 500 bike doesn't make much sense. I can't even ride my 05 VFR to it's limits and I'm coming home from the canyons with a blue rear tire. I guess it's just to showcase the capabilities of the manufacturer. I'm honestly more interested in what is available for the average Joe and personally, IMHO, Yamaha has nailed that with their new base model R1. Light, fast and affordable with great technology to help you out if you ever do approach the limits of the bike.

ETA: I would like to add that I am very interested in the Superbike Comparisons in the magazines. There are new petro missiles from just about everyone, so it should be a good matchup. I'd like to see them pit the "base" models together and then the Homogaltion bikes, since most everyone has one of those as well.

 

I think it's hilarious hearing the hipsters whining the new H2 doesn't live up to the "legacy" of the original. I guess because it's not a 2 stroke with awful handling.

Who is that fella, £25,000 to £30,000, the Ohlins front gas forks alone, depending on speck, are £15,000 to £25,000, how do they get a job like that. :der:

There's guys out there that can park one next to their Bugatti Veyron. They will sell out and if not may be the price will come down to sell. Then Scubielong can by one!

 

Is this bike meant for the "wealthy" or to meet the homologation rules of WSBK? If it's the latter, you wonder how many will actually get purchased for racing as opposed to sitting in someone's living room?
