I own a 84 vf500f. I rebuilt the carbs and installed new carb boots because the old ones were worn and torn. I now have a problem putting the carbs back on. Is there some advice so I can put theses carbs back on?

Warm up the carb boots, and lube them up with a little vaseline ( if there are any). The reason that I said if there are any, is that I'm not too familiar with your year, on my '96 there are rubber boots that fit between the carbs and the engine. Also if you haven't loosened the retaining bolts, doing that will help. Try to position the bolts where you will be able to tighten them after the carbs are on the bike. My boots had a little notch where the bolts aligned themselves to.

I use Sylglide to lube the boots. A little dab a do ya'. Works great and heat won't affect it.
