    Hello All,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello.... Recently obtained a VFR (from my best friend)... I used to ride a Ducati 899 Panigale....(got into an accident with some one that did not check twice and totaled it) So here i am riding again.... But wow i can say how much i like this bike.... a lot more than my Panigale... i enjoy it a lot more. Mods already done: Black shield, HID 5k with bulbs designed for non projector headlight (no glare), Semi Gutted Exhaust.

Mods to come: Power commander, K&N filter and LED Stop light and turn signals, may upgrade the brakes (Suggestion Please)

Thank you all and happy riding

Nice. Welcome to The World! Sorry about your mishap, but as they say, everything happens for a reason...now you have one of the best and under rated motorcycles you can ride!

BTW Long, he's in the "Sunshine State", we're in the "Golden State", since we do get a lot of sunshine I can see why the confusion.

Not too many upgrades for brakes unless you get crazy. I have steel braided cables from Galfer. Honestly, though, you probably just aren't used to the linked brakes and the bike weight. Give it some time, and engine braking is your friend.

Glad to hear you're liking the VFR. It is a great "do it all" bike which is probably the main reason why most people on this forum own one. Welcome.

Guys, thank you very much for the warm welcome... just came back from riding it.... and i can tell you it puts more smiles on my face than the ducati ever did... more or less because i dont have to ride it ball out to enjoy it... it is a very mellow bike to ride and at the same time it has an do it all attitude and when needed it pulls pretty nice....

Hope to enjoy many discussion here... and learn from all of you that have owned this bike for awhile now

    Ride safe

Welcome to the World but WTF is a VFR? Is that a Plymoth like a GTX or sumtin?

Properly maintained you should get generations of enjoyment out of that ride. Mine has seerved me well since I bought it new in 06. Some minor repairs were done but I consider that maintainance. My mileage is stupid high.

Stick around. There is lots of mechanical talent here. BTW.....I am not one of them. I managed to strip the threads in my oil pan a few years back.
