I knew a guy in who started riding in his 50s... ...on a GSX-R. He loved it though.

25 but got my 6th gen at 24. Never was interested in the supersports partly because of the sterotype and all the 18-20yr old thinking you need a 1000 to go fast but never been on a track. Also the gf and all her friends would rather ride in my bike than my friends supersports:cool:

I think a vfr 2006 is very sporty and faster than my old 600. I don't think its a old mans bike at all, but with the right mods it can be ridden by a old man:drums::alien:

    Nope.

26 and on my 2nd VFR--my 95 and now an 07 RWB. What a gorgeous, refined motorcycle. I am in love all over again.

the vfr qt mile times are very close to my old r6, but the vfr goes faster over rough roads, the vfr also could stop faster with abs with a better set of brake pads. I can ride the vfr much longer. Its not quite as fast as a r6 . But the vfr does have a lot more torque making it a better street bike. I am usually not going too faster but I am a lot faster than any Harley. I am picking up more speed all the time.:guitar::fencing:

I'm 26, had my VFR for just over a year now.

I had my heart pretty much set on either a Ducati SS (from an old coworker) or a CBR but got talked into a VFR by a family friend. At first I was like oh here we go he'll probably suggest some old man's bike, but I did the research and was blown away. Found my 02 after a few weeks of searching and have been happy ever since. I'll probably be even happier in a couple weeks once I get my exhaust and pipercross filter on :vtr2:

let us know if the piper cross really does anything-I think it maybe one of the best mods to do, the FI should adj for the extra air. I run only 89 in my bike-I will try some 87 when I start riding all the time-maybe a mix of the two would be best-using shell only-tech ron, seafoam-just a little.

I bought my 97 model back in 98 when I was 21. Put 100000ks on it and owned that until I was 29, then I went and bought a 2005 model. Still own it. 37 now. 2 VFR's in 16 years. This one will get all the mods.

Wow time flies! Picking up this bike, feels like a life time ago. I have been through so much with her and she is the only thing that has remained constant, since then. I went from one of the young guys, when I first got my VFR at 23, to now, I am 31. Same bike. Still love it. Not sure if I am one of the young guys anymore though lol.
