Two days ago I was at the Triumph and Ducati dealer with my friend because he was looking to trade in his bike for a new Ducati and as I was waiting a looking at the bikes outside the Triumph dealer came out started talking to me and offered me a trade for mine 2010 VFR 1200 with 5000 miles on it for a 0 miles 2013 Daytona 676R where I need to pay only 2000 out of pocked including everything license and registration etc.

    Would you seriously consider it?

    Thank you

If you want a track bike the 675 is a great choice. It's also really good for corner carving on backroads but not for long distances.

No. Looking at the values for the two bikes, they are very similar. You would be basically handing over 2 grand.

Hm... I don't like that. Thank you
It would be hard to part with the VFR...it seems risky getting any other bike because the VFR does so many things well.

Unless you're seriously hooked on a focused corner carver, that doesn't make sense. If you really want to do the latter, why not just look for a low mileage late model RC51? Not to dis the Daytona, it's a very cool sub 700cc track bike- but considering the price you can pick up a used RC51 for, why give up the pluses of the 1200? And the RC51 has a more usable street power band to boot.

NO. Go read up on that Triumph Engine. My mechanic keeps having to split the cases and fix it. Bad design.
