By power cut , do you mean the rev limiter?? If so, leave it alone. There is no point in reving higher than the limiter, as the power curve is on the downward slope, and any excessive over-reving is a good way to break the engine.

power cut seems to be a common problem with the 02- 05 vfr's. i had an 02 now I have an 05 both bikes did the same thing. both had a micron exaust , k&n, O2 eliminators With a powercommander mapped with a staintune exhaust map. The powercommander will fix the "powercut". did for me. The new vfr's also have shut off problem when there new. Think it's because the engine is so "tight" but it could the crank sensor ? Hope this helps u out

    power cut vfr

All v-tec vfr have a running problem at low revs. This has been addressed on the 06 bikes by remapping the injection and changing the 02 sensors. If this is the problem you're having fit a power commander and enjoy. This will allow for future upgrades like pipes etc.
