I've been spending some time over at the CB1100 forum (seriously thinking of getting one) and I came across this video: http://youtu.be/Dxy4n0UT82o

    Pretty cool.

    Really cool video!

I just left the Local Honda dealer, they have a standard and a Deluxe. They have them priced a grand under MSRP. Makes me wonder how they are selling, dealer insisted that they can't keep them in stock but I'm pretty sure those are the same two bikes they have had for months.

Is there any word on 2015 models? Changes?

The only word so far is that Honda usually releases new model details in November for delivery to showroom floors by February or March. I just got an email from a local dealer who had three in stock and he's eager to make the sale. Said he's willing to show me invoice minus any rebates with the hope of making even just a little profit. Might have to go take a look! My impression is that they're not really moving that well. That's good for me!

So you haven't seen one yet? They are good looking bikes, looks quality, nothing looks cheap on them that I noticed. I'm not much for the exhaust but that can be fixed. I really wanted one when they first came out but decided to just stick with my '77 KZ1000 for that sort of bike.

I don't know why the dealer would tell me they are selling like crazy, unless he wanted to sell me one.....but he said the 1 Deluxe they had on the floor was already sold. I asked if they would get more and he said there are no more available and his is the last one in the state of Texas. Well.....a quick look at CL shows two other local dealers with them in stock. I don't get it.

Yup...it was BS....I just looked at a CL for other cities in Texas with them....

    Dallas 2013 $8,599
    San Antonio 2013 $8,999
    Pasadena 2013 $8,999
    Lufkin 2013 $7,999

Didn't check them all but so far there's 4

Plus the two at the dealer here and the other two I found at nearby dealers.....and I just found 2 more at another Houston dealer.

That's 10 in the state by just looking at CL and 1 dealers website. I'm sure there are many many more, that's just a 5 min quick search. Could be possible that some of the listings are bad and the bikes aren't really there. But all of them?

Just for fun searched CL in LA, 7 of them come up, San Diego = 3 more. Lots of 2013's I notice in these ads, way more 13's than 14's. Maybe the 2014's sold better.

I was kind of hoping the guy would show how to get a replacement R/R for Hondas for the ones that crapped out. I sure hope they don't use any of the OEM stock on their aircraft.

Dealers can tell you anything they want to, to make a sale. Even those prices you looked up or were quoted are BS. Get it in black and white always or bring your own KY Jelly along with your pesos.

The dealers own the bikes. They buy them from the manufacturers. The more they buy the less each one costs them. Best deals are many times made by going "out of town" to some small guy. The dealers talk like this is all some complicated process that even they don't understand. Don't believe that shit for a minute!

Learned this a long time ago.... I was in the market for a new car. Tire kicked and shot the breeze with three different dealers in Houston. Got the usual razzle-dazzle from the sales dudes and managers and other crew.. Finally drove 125 miles to Victoria and saved almost 700 bucks on the car that came with a full tank of gas and the sales guy had waxed the car for me.

Also never ever the dealer ships do the financing or think that waving cash in from of these guys is a great idea. They will take you for a mullet. Being from the Gulf Coast those little nibbles your feel on your toes when wading in the gulf are mullets eating the dead skin on your feet.

You mean the '15? No one has seen one yet. As for the '13's and '14's, I've seen them and think they look great. Very few complaints so far about the bike over at the CB1100 forum. There are a couple guys who have over 20K miles already on theirs and all is good in the hood. I hope to do a demo ride next weekend. If I do, I'll share my impressions.

I think he meant the video. But he did invent the mullet. I don't always go to the beach.......but when I do, I like to let the fish nibble on my balls, of my feets.
