I have heard a few members on here that have installed the Delkevic system on their 6th gens and the overall opinion seems to be quite positive. If you search exhaust systems or Delkevic in the 6th gen forum you may find a few other threads. On an off note, I have a Delkevic slip on installed on both my wife's 96 VFR and on my 2000 VFR and I am very happy with both the quality and sound.

Here's a thread from sssssssshhhh, the other site, but still may prove helpful.

OR83,,, I don't have this pair of exhaust,,but I did install the Delkevic ds70 exhaust last week. Very easy to install and it sounds great. just fyi,, the stainless steel parts will "yellow/gold" a bit after you heat them up a few times... Very typical I presume.

could we get a sound byte comparison of your Aprilia VS the VFR. Just curious what the Aprilia sounds like being another V4

I installed a Staintune exhaust on my 2002 VFR800 and it sounds great and fits perfectly.

I've had Staintune and Delkevic on the 5th gens. Delki wins on bang for buck, hands down! Delki isn't as solid as Staintune, but TBH, my delki stood up to sliding down the road beautifully, so the extra solidity of the S/tune is excess baggage! The delki sounds much better than the s/tune too (with and without the baffle installed). I'm very happy with mine! :)

I've got that same system on my 06 and as far as sound and fit and finish goes I really like them. The mounting system for the mufflers leaves a little to be desired. I wished they had a bracket made on each muffler that would bolt to the bikes frame rather then the band clamp setup but its not that much of an issue, but it would have made for a much cleaner look. The pipe between the Y and the cat has started to yellow. I run mine without baffles on an otherwise stock bike with the PCV uploaded with the European stock intake/staintunes MAP. Seems to run great overall and pulls down a consistent 44 mpg with great throttle response all around and a strong topend pull.

I have recently been in contact with David Silver Spares who from what I can find is the only US dealer for Motad. They are getting a container in the first part of the year with Motad systems if you want to wait for a quality header/system. Quoted me $460 on a set of down pipes.

I have, and I love it.

The removable baffles are useless don't install them.

On a stock bike, with PAIR and O2 sensors still in use, you'll get a lot of popping on deceleration.

If you buy this system, invest in PAIR block offs and a Power Commander V.

    Don't look back.
