The top part where my Radiator Cap screws on is falling apart. The metal is cracking up so the cap doesn't secure right.. when coolant starts flowin it just spews out. Does this mean i need a whole new radiator or is there a way i can repair this?

Which model do you have? You can probably find whatever part you need at a reasonable price on ebay.

I have a first gen. 1986 vfr 700. I know eBay has an 87 vfr 700 radiator and it looks the same as mine. But it gets quite costly so before I purchase this I was wondering if there are anyways to repair what I have. I'm thinking a new radiator cap might help. But like I said the top of the radiator where it screws on is falling apart.

Depends on what gen Viffer this is....on the 5th and 6th gens i believe the radiator cap sits on a separate plastic filler neck which is just clamped on the radiator hose above the radiator.

JB welld will hold just fine until you are in the middle of nowhere... Take it to a radiator shop the repair would probably be about $40 or so.

Make sure top flange is intact where cap mates with radiator, otherwise it will overheat in no time.
