The bike came with the blue led's... I can't decide if their cheesy or puts a hint of custom on the look... (although not custom by me)... Anyone else have led's installed? If so, let's see? How do these affect the electrical grid of the bike? Thanks for your input.

Is there a switch? If so I wouldn't mess with un-install. but I wouldn't have a clue about how much they draw.

They draw very little, and it wouldn't be hard to install a switch. I would check PO wiring, make sure it is properly fused and not rubbing anywhere.

One vote for cheesy here. Not a fan of "HEY EVERYONE! LOOK AT ME!" mods. At least that's how I view them, As always though, to each their own.

OutboardJohn and couple other members install them and love it. They come with remote you can turn them off from a distance :pirate:
Is it on when you turn on the ignition? He must have wired with a relay. Just follow the wire and undo the power (Red). Done :thumb:

I agree I'm not a hey look at me guy either,,, now,, hey hear me is another story.. Lol
I don't do much night riding anyway and if they were prone to compromise the grid,, they'll most def be dismissed.
    Thanks guys

"HEY YOU, LISTEN TO THIS" is a different thing altogether. Having VFRs, we are all guilty of being those guys....

Another vote of for are they legal?

A friend of mine commonly refers to them as "aquarium lights". To each their own.

I like them on my show bike. I run the green while driving (legal!) and varying speed of multicolor when sitting. I have the newer style 5050s. Very low draw even compared to the older styles. I have over 1200 and the batt drains to 11.4 v in about 4 hours. I do have a battery brain hooked up to open a relay when the v get to 11.4... So. I can get home! Mine has a multi function remote, most do.
As for the blue...it's not legal on roads, just while parked.
If we didn't care what others thought, we would all be on black bikes with oem mirrors! Customizing is part of the fun.
If it didn't come with a switch, just easily wire one in series with the hot lead from the lil black box.

Probably illegal since blue lights are usually reserved for emergency vehicles--you might want to Google TX laws on lighting on vehicles.

Cheesy and NOT legal in TX. I went through this with my pickup in the 1990's and got pulled over a couple times in a shrot period so I turned them off forever.
