Had an idea i did. I'm working on an 86 vfr 700, and i have all the fairings off, and i have to do some work on them, fill some cracks, paint some bondo, remove some of that paint, paint over it again in the right color- anyways, the point is that i could do that whenever i need to fix a fairing when it becomes less pretty to look at more than five feet away, OR, i could make my own fairings with holes in the right spots for things like lights and air and bolts, out of fiber glass, perhaps a different style just because its easier to make a potato than a crown jewel, and while i'm working on the original, i can have something that covers up the bits that need it.

better yet, i could just do that. make my own fairings for things i need.

so besides the terrible mindless tedium and problems arising from working with fiberglass, along with the work of making it look good which is equally suicide inducing, not to begin to mention the painting- what do you think?

You planning on taking moulds off your existing fairings?

Crown jewels in Idaho are made from potatoes.

Unless really skilled at mold making and fiberglass work, IMO, repairing that ABS fairing might be easier. Also a search for fairing bits might be part of a solution.

The problem with air tech is that you have to do all the cutting work, and regular fairings are ridiculously expensive. And I'm not saying make replica fairings, I could, but I wouldn't. I'd make my own. But after so e sleep I'm thinking I'll just never hurt my fairings lol
