    hey guys,

Just wanted to see if anyone has any after maker levers on their VFR, Im thinking of changing them and looking for something a bit more sporty and nicer to look at. Few options here really:

No name china stuff - seems good value for money, not sure though if I take my VFR on track day would I trust them...

ASV - high priced items, presumable superb quality but has anyone have them? would like to get some feedback on it

PUIG - I have their windscreen and the stuff they make they make it with love, thats promising. Most suitable option as per price/quality

Titax - serious stuff - serious price...not sure if its worth to pay that much...unless pro ride it in track !

so any ideas suggestions are welcome! :)

I ordered the shorties from http://www.434racer.com/ and am very happy with them. I wouldn't go back to the regular levers.

Mr. Z, the short levers are great! I can't adjust the stock ones to my comfort so that's why I got the short ones. They fit my short fingers nicely, hence "shorties" :)

I have a set of the Chinese knock-off levers on my 09 but I have ASV levers on my 01 and my Duc. I can say the quality of the ASV levers is great. Although there is nothing wrong with the knock-offs, I really like the fit, finish and feel of the ASV levers better and will getting some for my 09 soon. That being said, you can get them for 1/2 price if you're willing to get them without a warranty. If you buy the refurbished ones, they are basically two for the price of one. That's the way I went for the 01 levers and will be going with for the 09 levers soon, only issue is they may not be readily available, so you might have to wait a while before they have what you're looking for.

The only thing I can say about the knock-offs is that they are cheap (as in inexpensive, not quality), you can basically get 3 or 4 pairs for the price of just one ASV lever, but the ones I have are starting to fade and look more grey than black now. Again, there is nothing wrong with them, they work just fine I just prefer the overall quality, fit, feel and infinite adjustability of the ASV levers. The adjuster wheel on the ASV allows for more fine tuning of the lever distance, vice the 6 preset stops on the knock-offs.

What do they refurbish on a "refurbished lever"? I would have thought the levers were either good or bad, fit or not fit. Just curious. I have the Chinese knock-offs too.

Yeah, not sure what gets refurbished, I'm assuming it's possibly the spring, wheel or other part of the lever. Since the new ones are guaranteed for 5 years, I can imagine these are the returns from owners getting a warranty replacement and they just make a refurb out of it.
