I replaced my front signals with 2 wire LED plates. Knowing this would change the load reisantce i knew it would cause it to flash faster then normal, and I was ok with that, except for the side effect that the dash indicator light is stuck on when it's not flashing. Thinking installing the 50ohm reisitor would fix this problem, I found out today that didn't fix that problem. yes it slows the flasher down but the dash light is still stuck on. I THINK that I need to install a diode as well to prevent current back feeding to the dash light? I say that because I have both the constant and the flasher positives joined together to get the LED panel to both flash when signaling, and steady on when not.

Do I need a diode put inline to fix my problem? Is there something I'm missing?

Please advise me what I need to do next, or possible alternative solutions to the hole problem.

    ANSWER:

So I got impatient trying to find an answer. I took a part a circuit board of some scrap electronics I have, scavanged a pair of dioeds from it. and put them in line on the signal wire, that solved the problem. So now I have 2 wire LED signals with out the dash lights on steady.
I didn't install the load resistors tho, I actually prefer the fast flasher over the normal, seems like it's more attention getting.

I just put in a digital signal relay, worked for me.

Mine had the cord coming out of the bottom vs the back but yeah. You just have to block off/cut off the 3rd pin on the stock harness (its just an extra ground)

I like the fast flash as well. But I didn't share the same problem as the OP. My dash flashes fast too.
