I did a 300 mile ride ending with 95+ degree weather today and by the halfway point things were getting sweaty and my jeans felt more like 40 grit sandpaper then denim. A friend of mine has a simple little whoopee cushion looking lambs wool butt pad on his Harley seat and won't ride without it. I'm wondering if there is something like this but that is fitted for or can be fitted to a stock VFR 800 seat. In addition to that question would the stock rear seat cowl cover fit with a lambs wool cover installed over the seat or would it be too thick?
I have a lambs wool on the stock seat of my Concours. I bought a peice of lambs wool, cut it to fit the area where I sit and use adhesive backed velcro to hold it in place. I attached the Velcro under the seat and to the back of the lamb's wool and wrap the lambs wool around the edge of the seat and attach it to the velco. So far it seems to work well.
Hello, I'm new here and this is my first post. I can speak from experience here. I had a sheepskin for both my previous Buells (99S3t & 00 X-10. I just finally got a 96 VFR yesterday. "Alaska Leathers" is the place to go. They make several sizes and shapes. My VFR already has a Corbin seat, but I'll be putting sheepskin on for sure. Try it you'll like it. Greg
