I don't know if i'm missing something but something don't look right with my bars. i'm trying to fit the left hand controls on the new bars but the little tab that locates a hole in the bar seems way out it seems it s at the wrong orintaion and i cant get it to locate as it's clashing with the brake res/lever. anyone else had this problem

The bars are left and right...assume you checked that already?? Nothing to do with the controls but did you pull the dampers out of your old bars?

I have heard getting the dampers out takes time and is a pita. I actually paid a local shop to do mine and had a few other things done at the same time. Remember you have to cur the tabs that are forward on the brake and clutch master cylinders. Also do NOT pump the brake / clutch until the banjo bolts are re-tightened down.

I am so glad I got these helibars, like a new bike, huge difference and they look great, your gonna love them!

There is a small tab that needs to be pushed it. Look for a small hole and there will be a triangular tab sticking up. Push it down with a punch.

it says to cut the tap back and adjust the banjo bolt but i don't know why as it seem to be working fine. and it's not kinking the hoes.

trying to get these dam damper out is a nightmare. i see the 2 holes that the tab need to be pushed but i still can't get them out i've sparayed so wd40 to lube the rubber but i think it's stuck to the inside of the tube

Are you trying to pull straight out?? (Phrasing). Mine were a pain until I started rotating while pulling. Also I didn't have the male tab on my turn signal housing so the hole in the bars was useless. Just tightened the hell out of the screws.

I would not put heat :jaw: it is rubber seal the gum up and stick to the bore. Twist and turn apply wd40
    Repeat......

You need a piece of tube the same diameter of the bars and a bolt and washer that is the same as the bars ends. Put the piece of pipe against the end of bar and then with the washer on bolt screw bolt into damper and tighten and it should extract the damper.

Now THAT my friends is an amazing idea. Wish I had thought of something like that when I did the Helibars on my bike.
