I test rode an SV650S the same day I test rode my current 5th gen. I really, really liked the SV650S but I couldn't get over how small it was, especially since I am 6'4" and 220lbs (back then). I then went to test ride the VFR, much more comfortable, felt just as powerful, and....that gear whine!!!

If the SV was a tiny bit bigger, it would have been a tougher choice...but they are tiny!

I just bought my wife a V star 650 it had Lower control extenders on it so she could not reach the pedals LOL
I am having them removed but I agree what a LITTLE machine so low to the ground but actually a GREAT bike for a beginning rider

My wife has a Ninja 650, feels like a toy compared to the VFR. Short, light and a nice torquey motor. Another great bike for someone smaller or with less experience.
