If any of the crap that leaked out of the battery got onto your bike, CLEAN IT ASAP. It is highly corrosive! Baking soda & water should do the trick.

If you got any on your clothes wash immediately, otherwise you will have big holes in about a week.

    Hmm.

I see that most of the basics have already been covered by others. Post #9 in the following thread contains "the Drill".

Please note the bit about doing the checks twice - once with the bike cold and then again after the bike has warmed up. Stuff can test perfectly OK when its cold, but things like insulation on windings or other components in the RR can fail when it gets hot and can end up either draining a battery or if the RR goes mad can feed 60+ volts to the battery and bikes wiring which will be bad.

Just in case it is helpful, you will find pretty much all you will ever need to know about motorbike batteries here - http://www.whitedogbatteries.com/

Good luck getting the bike fixed

I was expecting it was a Batteries Plus... Let us know what they say after they check it out.
