86 VFR thermostat replacement

Does anyone know if any automotive thermostats fit the 86 VFR?



I know which ones fit my magna but was not sure if they are the same. I contacted the local honda dealers and none are in stock and was hoping to get it back together tonight.

 

Yeah. Do a search. I think I used one from a Geo Tracker.

 

Thanks I found a PN on here and crossed it to a duralast 15848 thermostat. I had to drill a 1/8" hole in it but I got it working. I also replaced the fuel filter with a FF3419DL which crosses to a WIX 33033 or fram G15

 

They want that hole facing the front of the housing on the t-stat housing, least they did on the gen 3 bikes.

 

Honestly I cannot remember where I drilled it but I know I put it in the same place as the factory one.
