    Hi folks,

I'm a long time member here (and longer time member at V4Hondabbs), but this is my first post over here. Over the years I've had mostly Hondas, but strayed to Kawi once with a 1996 GPz1100. Try as I might I couldn't make that one fit me, so it went to a friend whom it did fit. My only other wander away from Honda is a 1999 Triumph Trophy 900 that I made to fit me like a glove with a Clearview XL windshield, Genmar risers and, crucially, a Rick Mayer seat. I've had 2 V65 Sabres with the Hondaline fairing, lowers and bags (I think maybe the best all-round bike ever made). That V65 engine is just magic!

Now I finally have a VFR! A couple of weeks ago I bought a 1990 with 43,000 kms on her from the second owner. He got it in 1996 and only put 14,000 kms on it. He always had it dealer serviced and kept inside under a cover. It very nearly still looks new. Although the dealer is not always the best place for service. There are a few broken fairing tabs and I found the thermostat support bracket hanging by one bolt that was also half out.

It still has the seat cowl and he gave me the original muffler which is still like new. Did I mention it has a SUPERTRAPP? The sound is INTOXICATING, but you guys already knew that.

I'll get to work on my garage and signature info.

    Cheers,
    Glenn

Hey, thanks for the welcome guys. I've always had a liking for Supertrapps, but you can't get them like that anymore. I got lucky here for sure.

    Cheers,
    Glenn

Welcome to The World! Just an FYI, white wheels look great, but are a pain to keep clean...I speak from experience. Anyway, the bikes looks like a real nice find!

Hey, thanks for the welcome guys. ATGATT  , I went for a ride in shorts today, Scubalong

Under mesh riding pants :biggrin1: .

Somebody on another board told me he keeps his white wheels waxed. Then the dirt and brake dust washes off easily. EBC also says their organic pads (FA's) don't have any ferrous material in them so they make very little dust. We will see - I have a set coming for the rear.

    Cheers,
    Glenn
